Populate Your Desktop
It is easy to add new icons to your desktop. An icon provides a faster way to run your application than looking it up in Programs or finding it in Windows Explorer.
Right-click on any open portion of your desktop. Choose New, Shortcut then Browse. Browse for the file you want to run from your desktop. This can be an executable, a document or any file whose type has an association. Click on this file. Then click on Open, Next then Finish. The icon will appear on your desktop.
